Are You Eligible for the Cashback?

Under the NSW Telemetry Uplift Program, eligible landholders who use their own Duly Qualified Person (DQP) to install an approved LID can claim up to $2,000 back from the NSW Government.

You may be eligible if you:

  • Are a landholder in the Murray-Darling Basin with a water entitlement of 100ML or more, or have used more than 100ML in any one of the past three water years

  • Want to use your own DQP to install telemetry equipment

  • Have installed (and validated) a Local Intelligence Device between 1 July 2024 and 30 June 2027

You are NOT eligible if you:

  • Received the $975 telemetry rebate (for installations before 30 June 2024)

  • Are replacing a non-working LID

  • Have already engaged the government-appointed contractor through the opt-in installation process

Important: The program does not cover the installation of water meters. Your meter must already be installed and pattern-approved (AS4747) to be eligible.

  • Contact us to confirm Meterwatch is the right fit for your site. We can check your meter compatibility (pulse or Modbus), coverage conditions, and help you understand the cashback process.

  • Your device arrives pre-configured and site-ready. No complicated setup required.

  • Your chosen DQP installs and validates the Meterwatch on your pattern-approved meter. The browser-based interface makes on-site setup straightforward.

  • Once your LID is validated and your Validation Certificate is issued, you submit your cashback application through the NSW Government portal. We can help guide you through the process.

  • Your water usage data flows automatically to the DAS. Access your real-time dashboard, receive alerts, and stay compliant.
