Operation
Spider SMS LC is a versatile telemetry, logging and control system capable of performing many simultaneous tasks. Users can configure all operating parameters and different modes of operation.Diagrams below show some of the functionality built into every Spider SMS LC. This list is not exhaustive. Low power consumption makes the Spider SMS LC ideal for deployment in remote areas. No mains power is required. A small solar panel will keep an external battery charged and the system will operate for many months or years without any user intervention. | |

Use any standard browser and the familiar "internet-surfing"
approach to configure, interrogate and operate a remote Spider SMS LC.
Dial directly into the Spider, no internet access is required. |

Spider SMS LC sends SMS alarm messages triggered by changes in inputs (e.g. water level, intruder, pressure etc.) | |

Spider SMS LC sends e-mails containing daily reports or alarm messages to any address on the Internet. | |

Send an SMS from your mobile phone to the Spider to remotely control pumps, lights, sprinklers, gates etc. | |

Send an SMS from your mobile phone to the Spider. It responds with current values of all inputs and/or outputs (e.g. Intruder OFF, Water level 2.133 m etc.) | |

Spider SMS LC outputs can be driven by dedicated 24 hour / 7 day timers with an unlimited number of schedules. Use this feature for automatic operation of floodlights, sprinklers etc. (Manual override is available.) | |

Input changes can be configured to activate or deactivate outputs. For example a water level input can be made to turn pumps on and off to maintain a tank level within a specified range. | |

Spider SMS LC logs inputs, outputs, alarms, SMS activity etc. into high capacity solid-state memory. Data can be retrieved at any time. |
